Copy Editing and Web Designing:
Computers and Internet are the buzz words today. Most of the work is done over Net these days. There is a huge demand for trained people in this field. Students who have creative mind can opt for this course and also editing copies for grammatical & other errors and become art directors, computer programmers, industrial designers, multimedia artists, animators, copy editors, sub-editors, reporters etc.
Information and Communication:
Technology is ever changing. This course provides a clear understanding of technology associated with computer configuration, e.g. systems, application, hardware components, telecommunication network, programming languages, database management, development tools etc. After the course, students can be self-employed as computer operators, advertisement designers or take up jobs such as teaching, programming, project development etc.
Library Science:
During this course, students learn the basics of library science, routine functions related to libraries, information services, bibliographical indexing and reference sources, cataloguing etc. Students can work in educational institutions as semi professionals, They may also get jobs in media centres, law firms, advertising agencies, museums, professional associations and research laboratories.
After completing the 1st year, a ‘ certificate’ is awarded to the students. They can opt for ‘ Diploma’ in the 2nd year and ‘ Advanced Diploma’ in the 3rd year of their studies.
